Let’s talk!
Vote Daulton Harris for District 1 Commissioner.
I’ve been a part of this community for many years — my roots here run deep. My great-grandmother, Bessie Studier, was born Bessie Helmey, and she and the rest of her descendants have lived and worked here ever since.
Long before today’s operations, our family’s property was home to Pineora Kartway and Studier’s Kart Supply, businesses that brought people together from across the county. For decades, Pineora Kartway hosted go-kart races open to the public every Saturday night, from the early 1970s through 2014.
Today, my grandfather, Joseph Studier, continues to own and operate Studier Apiaries and Studier’s Honeypot. Studier Apiaries provides pollination services across the region, and Studier’s Honeypot—the retail side—was created and built by my mother, growing into a brand many local families know and trust.
I graduated from Effingham County High School, played football, and went on to earn a degree in Economics from Georgia Southern University. I am now a licensed financial advisor, early in my career, building a practice dedicated to serving Effingham County families and small businesses. It’s reinforced my belief that government should be responsible, transparent, and focused on people—not just developers and logistics companies.
Becoming a homeowner and navigating life in Effingham County after college opened my eyes to some serious concerns. Neighborhoods are being zoned in wetlands and flood-prone areas, leaving young families with less than they were promised. Warehouses are popping up at a pace that threatens the character of our community.
That’s not the Effingham many of us grew up in — and it’s not why people chose to move here or stay here. Too often, complacency has replaced accountability.
I’m running to stand up for what’s right and to fight for a future that puts local families first — not just the developers.
Vote Daulton Harris.
I believe transparency starts with being accessible.
That’s why I want to meet with the residents of District 1 and across Effingham County — to listen, to learn, and to better understand the real problems we need to be fighting for.
If I’m going to represent this community, I believe it should be done face-to-face, with honesty and accountability.
I hope you’ll take the time to meet with me and share your story.
